Does anyone know how RUSH did internationally? Domestically I would suggest it failed. Cumulative numbers suggest a gross of just $26mil and I would bet it won't be in the theater next weekend. I believe it cost more than that to make the movie. What an utter disappointment.

Hate to hear that, I really enjoyed it... I mean, the fact is it's pretty true to form with artistic license taken where necessary to make it a movie people want to go see and not a documentary that kills at the Jalopnik Film Festival but tanks everywhere else but Netflix. One of the downsides to us (Jalops/enthusiasts/race fans/that whole lot) still being a niche market; what appeals to us doesn't necessarily appeal to the masses.

Thank goodness the rest of the world went to see the movie.

That $26 million apparently refers only to the domestic box office numbers. According to this , internationally it brought in another $47.5 million.
So not a raging success, but at least it managed to cover the budget with a bit on top.
I did go see it and enjoyed it. The movie wasn't very significantly marketed though. I probably saw an ad for it 3 times in a week around the initial release of the movie, nothing before or since.

I saw a ton of ads for it, but then again I watch sports channels.

http://boxofficemojo.com/movies/?page=i… Also, it evidently still brought in 700k this past week, which is more than half of the previous week despite being on less than half the screens; I would imagine that it will probably be in theaters through most of November but am not really sure.
